Hyperbole was not spared: victims’ lawyers call it the most significant “fraudulent move that has occurred in United States history.”
Despite the legal jargon, J&J does not really believe that this bankruptcy will last. But it is a way to push for this $8.9 billion settlement, and to keep the pressure on plaintiffs.
